Influencing of Nursing Student¡¯s Academic Resilience, Collaborative Preference, Metacognition upon Academic Adjustment

Abstract
Purpose: This study investigated nursing academic adjustment, academic resilience, collaborative preference, and metacognition, and identified factors influencing academic adjustment of nursing students.

Methods: Participants were 118 1st and 2nd year students. Data were collected from June to August 2023.

Results: The mean score of academic adjustment in nursing students was 3.85¡¾0.57. Academic adjustment explained 56.0% of the variance in academic resilience (?=0.53, p£¼.001), collaborative preference (?=0.18, p=.015), metacognition (?=0.18, p=.022) in order.

Conclusion: At the onset of nursing education, academic resilience and collaborative preference are significant factors that greatly impact academic adjustment. Efforts should continue to be made in developing a variable of educational programs to enhance academic resilience and collaborative preferences
